Loving You Dearly: Chapter 24 Part 1

Deceiving Myself (1)

Of course, she knew that he had a temper.

A domineering bad temper.

She couldn't break free. Her ears were filled with the sound of his heartbeat, fast and strong. He was sweating, and his breath was unsteady.

"Let go." Ning Zhen reached out and pushed him.

He lowered his eyes to look at the person in his arms. Afraid that she would be angry, he loosened his arms. "Don't run away again, do you hear me?"

Ning Zhen gave a sullen, muffled cry.

She couldn't run, and she didn't want to find herself in trouble.

The shadows of the trees covered the alley, and it was quiet for a while.

Lu Cheng calmed his breathing and said softly, "Ning Zhen, my love letter."

He stretched out his hand and handed over the blue envelope.

It was a little wet. Probably soaked with sweat from his palms.

She had long known that Lu Zhi was persistent.

The black hair on his forehead was wet, but his eyes were crystal clear.

He held out his hand and quietly waited for her to move.

Ning Zhen curled her fingertips slightly and took it. He suddenly smiled. The smile in his eyes was intense, and Ning Zhen felt a bit at a loss. She lowered her head. "Then I'm leaving."

"Can you take a look at it first?" He tilted his head and smiled, "Classmate Ning Zhen, I'm afraid you'll throw it in the trash as soon as you leave."

She blushed. Was she that bad?

"Open it, hmm?"

Ning Zhen bit her lip and opened the letter.

The black text was unexpectedly written carefully and neatly on the white paper.

It was a very thick love letter, full of those six words.

Ning Zhen looked at the words on the paper and was stunned.

He laughed low and said, "I knew you'd go back on your word. I was deceiving myself."

He felt pleasure each time he wrote.

As long as his heart was stirred, his body would never tire.

The six words he wrote were: Ning Zhen belongs to Lu Zhi.

After writing it 10,000 times, he almost thought it was true.

Seeing her dumbfounded look, he couldn't help but feel an itch. His Adam's apple moved slightly. "Promise or not?"

Ning Zhen took a step back, her fingers squeezing the paper tightly. Her heart was beating like a drum.

So nervous. He retracted his hand regretfully.

Just as she opened her lips, he interrupted with a slight annoyance, "Don't say no. it's the same thing you say all the time."

He bent down and met her pretty eyes, his tone a bit like a ruffian's, "Hey, what's wrong with me? Tell me. I'll change."

Ning Zhen was speechless. In fact, if she was asked to say, she could not say anything.

This year's Lu Zhi was good, very good.

Seeing that she didn't answer, the corners of his lips lifted slightly. "Can't say it, huh? Ning Zhen, be honest. It's not that you don't actually feel anything for me, right?"

There was a moment of silence as she squeezed the letter paper in her hand and shook her head gently.

The color in his eyes dimmed, and he quickly tsked, "Can you give me a hug?" He stared into her eyes, "Just a hug."

Ning Zhen remembered the bad thing he did the last time he hugged her, "No, your word doesn't count."

"This time it really counts." He laughed helplessly, "I won't see you for a long time and you won't miss me. Give me a hug and I won't bother you, okay?"

He opened his arms, his eyebrows clear and handsome. "Come over yourself, or I will go over?"

The wind blew her light blue skirt, and he gestured towards her.

Ning Zhen took two steps forward and gently hugged him. A touch that was so gentle that he thought it was an illusion.

The scent of her body lingered on the tip of his nose. Then the smell disappeared in an instant. Lu Zhi's fingers clenched into fists, but he did not give her a hard time. "Ning Zhen, you can go."

At least she had taken the initiative.

There was nothing unsatisfying.

She took one last look at him, turned around and walked away. Lu Zhi watched her back disappear around the corner and cursed lowly.

He shouldn't be soft-hearted. He regretted letting her go.

Lu Zhi leaned against the wall, his fingers touched the phone in his trouser pocket, and he took it out.

He clicked on the photos.

All the same person.

Her straight back, the way she seriously answered a question, and the naive side of her face.

He slid his fingers up and down, a smile on his lips.

It's not over yet.

Between them, it was just the beginning. She has already taken the first step, and he will take the remaining ninety-nine steps.

The holiday passed slowly and quickly.

She placed that love letter under the photo album and locked it. They had become two things pressing on Ning Zhen's mind.

One of which she had begun to chase, but the other, she should give up.

Luckily it was still early, and there was time for both.

The day Tang Zhuo left for his grandfather's house was July 18th. Ning Haiyuan and Xu Qian were both at work, so Tang Zhuo got up late and took the bus to Q City by himself.

The weather was gloomy. Tang Zhuo didn't say hello to Ning Zhen and dragged his suitcase out the door.

The wheels of the suitcase made a loud noise in the living room, and Ning Zhen stopped her dance practice in her room.

She had a few moments of hesitation. As a stepsister, she didn't know if she should send him off.

Although Xu Qian was really good to her, Tang Zhuo treated her drily.

During her hesitation, Tang Zhuo walked out of the house.

Ning Zhen turned off the dance video and stood by the window, looking downstairs. The teenager was wearing a dark blue T-shirt, pulling his suitcase and walking out expressionlessly.

Regardless of whether it was her past life or present life, Tang Zhuo shouldn't be fond of their family.

He was in the same situation as Ning Zhen, but his situation was not as good as Ning Zhen's. At least Xu Qian wanted to get close to Ning Zhen, but Ning Haiyuan only acted awkwardly toward Tang Zhuo.

When his back disappeared, the sky drizzled with rain.

The gray sky looked depressing. The very light rain had a tendency to get heavier gradually.

Ning Zhen pushed open the window and reached out to feel the cold raindrops.

She waited for two minutes, but Tang Zhuo never came back.

Ning Zhen closed the window, took two umbrellas, and put on her shoes to go out.

She ran, the rain fell on her face, and soon the rain really got heavier and heavier.

She didn't care about it that much. She quickened her pace and soon saw Tang Tuo's back.

He was still walking at the same speed, not speeding up his steps because of the rain.

"Tang Zhuo-" she shouted, and the person in front of her stopped and turned around.

Ning Zhen chased after him. She ran for a while and was panting heavily. It was too late to open another umbrella. She covered him with her own and handed the other umbrella over. "Take this."

Tang Zhuo's body was half wet. His hair was also covered with raindrops. He silently looked at her and said, "No need."
